Abstract Objectives: Describe ocular findings and its correlation with systemic diseases in Down Syndrome (DS) pediatric patients. Methods: Quantitative and cross-sectional study of prevalence with children aged from 0 to 25 years. PURPOSE: To evaluate the outcome and safety of phacoemulsification performed under topical anesthesiain cases with several complexities. METHODS: Cases performed under topical anesthesia from january 2009 to april 2011 were analyzed.
