Graduated in Medicine at the University of São Paulo (2000), medical residency (2003), doctorate (2006) and post-doctorate (2008) in Ophthalmology at the University of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto) and University of Tübingen – Germany. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto). Has experience in Ophthalmology, acting on the following subjects: Cataract and Implant intraocular lenses, Neuroophthalmology and Electrophysiology of vision.
