Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), 1991. Specialization in Ophthalmology from UFPR (1992-94). Postgraduate degree in Neuroscience from the Department of Ophthalmology, Osaka University – Japan (1994-96). Master’s degree in Medicine (Clinical Surgery) from UFPR (2000) and PhD in Medicine (Clinical Surgery) from UFPR (2002). He began his career as Adjunct Professor at UFPR (2004). Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Internal Medicine and Health Sciences at UFPR (2022). Full Professor of Ophthalmology at UFPR (2023). In the undergraduate course, he teaches fundus examination with direct ophthalmoscope and clinical cases of Neuro-Ophthalmology. He has experience in the area of ​​Ophthalmology, with emphasis on Neuro-Ophthalmology and Ocular Electrophysiology, working mainly on the following topics: electroretinogram, electro-oculogram, visual evoked potential, retinal dystrophies, optic neuropathies (optic nerve to the visual cortex) and rare diseases, including ectodermal dysplasias and neurological diseases.
