Graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1988), Medical Residency in Ophthalmology at the Hilton Rocha Institute (1989 to 1990), Fellowship in Strabismus at the Hilton Rocha Institute (1991), internship in Strabismus at the Fondation Ophtalmologique Adolphe Rothschild (Paris – France) (1996) and Doctorate in Ophthalmology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2007). Winner of the 37th VARILUX Prize, in the Master Category (2008). She is currently an ophthalmologist at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, being Head of the Ophthalmology Service at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and Vice-coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Ophthalmology. He was Vice President of the Brazilian Center of Strabismus (CBE) – 2013-2015 and President of the Brazilian Center of Strabismus (CBE) – 2015-2017.
