Graduated in Medicine from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF, 1965), Medical Residency (UFF, 1966 and 1967), Specialization in Higher Education Methodology (UFF, 1979), Master in Ophthalmology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 1986 ) and PhD in Ophthalmology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 1994). Free Teaching Contest in Ophthalmology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) He is currently Full Professor of Ophthalmology at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ, 1995). Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Ophthalmologic Surgery, acting on the following subjects: glaucoma, intraocular pressure, treatment, ocular semiology and glaucoma semiology.
