Graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Pernambuco (1996), Medical Residency in Ophthalmology at the State University of Campinas (1999), Title of Specialist in Ophthalmology at CBO and AMB (1999), PhD in Medical Sciences at Unicamp, (2002), Title of Specialist in Traffic Medicine (2006) and Free Teaching in Ophthalmology by the State University of Campinas (2013). He is currently Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Surgery at UFPE, Collaborator of the Graduate Course in Medical Sciences at the State University of Campinas, Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Reviewer and Associate Editor of the Brazilian Archives of Ophthalmology, Reviewer and Co-editor of Revista Brasileira de Oftalmologia, Reviewer of several International Journals and Full Member of the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology. Has experience in Medicine, focusing on Ophthalmologic Surgery, acting on the following subjects: blindness prevention, cataract and retina.
