Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, master’s and doctorate in Ophthalmology from Escola Paulista de Medicina, and specialization in Cornea at the University of Southern california, Doheny Eye Institute, Los Angeles. He is an advisor in the Cornea and External Diseases Sector of the Ophthalmology Service of the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, professor of post-graduation in the discipline of surgery at URFGS, and managing partner and founder of OftalmoCentro. He has 30 chapters of written books, 86 works published in national and international journals, 15 won awards and is the editor of 3 books. He is a member of the editorial board of 6 national and international ophthalmological journals, and former president of the southern region of cataract societies and intraocular implants and refractive surgery. Operates in the areas of Corneal Transplantation, External Diseases, Ocular Surface, Cataracts and Refractive Surgery.
