Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996), Medical Residency in Ophthalmology and Specialization in Cornea and External Eye Diseases at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (RS). He is an Associate Professor of the Specialization Course in Ophthalmology at PUC-Rio, a member of the clinical staff of IDTO (Institute of Diagnosis and Eye Therapy) and of the São Vicente de Paulo Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
