Two cases of mycosis fungoides associated with HTLV-I are reported. The ophthalmological findings were, in the first case, punctate keratopathy and keratoconjunctivitis sicca, and in the second case, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, thickening and difuse nodulos on eyelid margin. The association of mycosis fungoides and HTLV-I in these cases suggests involvement of this agent in the pathogenesis of the disease.

The aim of this article is to demonstrate the probable relationship between the recurrence of toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis and refractive surgery (LASIK). The case consists in a toxoplasmic retinochoroditis recurrence observed in a 33-year-old patient after a LASIK surgery. Fundoscopy revealed a retinochoroiditis focus in activity in the left eye seventeen days after the surgery, adjacent to an old scar of ocular toxoplasmosis. The authors present findings that reinforce possible causal links between LASIK and the recurrence of toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis.

X-linked juvenile retinoschisis is a hereditary and recessive vitreous-retinal disease. The main ophthamic manifestation is the bilateral macular cystic-like stellate maculopathy and splitting of the retina between the nerve fiber and ganglion cell layers. There were no treatments with efficacy in order to estabilize the visual acuity in the affected patients. This article presents a clinical case of a patient with a bilateral X- linked juvenil retinoschisis who was treated by the use of topical dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.

Cornea intraepithelial dysplasias are lesions with low risk of malignancy within the spectrum of intraepithelial neoplasia of the ocular surface. These areas are presented as dysplasias or leukoplasias and are associated with the presence of human papillomavirus (HPV), a major risk factor. In this report, the authors describe a case of a corneal intraepithelial dysplasia treated by surgical excision, with histological confirmation and negative DNA hybridization for HPV.

Eletroretinographic findings show that the transient decreased vision seen in patients with the multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) is related to metabolic disturbances at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium and photoreceptor complex. The same authors emphasize the treatment, complications and the rarity of this case. In this case the patient developed a good visual acuity and a loss of ocular motility as complication (except abduction) .

An intraocular infection is the most terrible complication after a trabeculectomy, usually with significant anatomical consequences and irreversible functional impairment.
