ABSTRACT Cavernous hemangiomas are benign malformations of vascular origin, generally well circumscribed and with slow growth. These lesions can be asymptomatic, being discovered unintentionally on imaging exams, or symptomatic, indicated mainly by the presence of proptosis, diplopia, and visual disturbances due to compression of the optic nerve.
