Sjogren – Larsson syndrome is a rare autosomal recessively inherited neurocutaneous disorder which occurs with 100% penetrance and is classically characterized by ichthyosis, spasticity and mental handicap. The disease is caused by mutations in the aldehyde dehydrogenase gene.
