ABSTRACT Acute ocular hypertension during hemodialysis is a rare event and may lead to interruption of dialytic therapy due to pain. Abstract We describe the case of a patient with secondary glaucoma who developed tenon cyst after Ahmed valve implantation. Despite the initial expectant management and subsequent surgical interventions, only with the micropulse transecleral cyclophotocoagulation did the intraocular pressure reach acceptable values.
