Abstract A 77 year-old female patient suffering from pyelonephritis developed bilateral endogenous endophthalmitis presumed by Candida after have been treated with global spectrum antibiotics. Early vitrectomy and intravitreal amphotericin B injection were performed, in addition to oral voriconazole. Clinical aspects of endogenous endophthalmitis are also pointed out by a literature review.

Abstract Choroidal hemangioma is a fairly rare benign vascular tumor that can manifest in either circumscribed or diffuse type; the latter one is usually related to Sturge-Weber Syndrome. The circumscribed tumors have an insidious presentation and diagnosis is commonly made after the onset of secondary symptoms. Abstract We reported a case of ocular hypotony due to spontaneous scleral rupture in retinochoroidal coloboma and the treatment which was performed. This is a prospective case report in which a 21-year-old woman complained of abrupt vision loss in her left eye. Abstract In this paper, we report a two identical female twin patients with retinal distrophy in investigation. The main diagnostic hypothesis is the leber congenital amaurosis. Abstract Sebaceous gland carcinoma (SGC) is the third most frequent malignant neoplasm in the eyelids. It usually affects elderly women and can simulate blepharitis or chalazion. Abstract The patient is a 10 years-old girl, with chief complaint of recent bilateral red eye and history of chickenpox disease. Examination revealed nodular episcleritis of both eyes. After treatment with topical steroids, the disease was subsided. Varicella-Zoster virus is a rare cause of episcleritis. In this case it seems that the mechanism of involvement is immune-related, rather than direct tissue involvement by virus.
