Descrevemos um caso de um linfoma MALT bilateral, simétrico e primário de saco lacrimal. O linfoma MALT é um subtipo do Linfoma Não-Hodkin dos anexos oculares. Quando o local primário do linfoma é o saco lacrimal, ele pode simular uma dacriocistite crônica. Essa situação pode atrasar o diagnóstico e ter consequências fatais.

Herein we report a case of juvenile xantogranuloma, an inflammatory disease more commonly diagnosed during childhood and is characterized by cutaneous and ocular manifestations. Iris is the main target, presenting as local or diffuse yellowish lesions. Iris involvement may precipitate not only glaucoma but also amblyopia. Treatment is based on corticosteroids therapy, either local or systemic aiming disease control.

We report a case of primary bilateral mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the lacrimal sac. MALT lymphoma is a subtype of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma of the ocular adnexa. When the primary site of the lymphoma is the lacrimal sac, it mimics chronic dacryocystitis. This may delay diagnosis, with potentially lethal results.

The purpose of this research is to describe a clinical study of a male patient who experienced late-blindness due to traumatic optic neuropathy after getting into a bicycle accident. It is stressed the importance of performing pupillary/reflexes examination and computed tomography scan in order to diagnose “transorbitário” foreign body.
