ABSTRACT Acute corneal hydrops is an ophthalmologic emergency resulting from rupture of Descemet’s membrane with entry of aqueous humor into the corneal stroma. Patients typically present with ocular pain, blurred vision, photophobia, and tearing. The detachment of Descemet’s membrane can be a serious complication following cataract surgery, leading to severe corneal edema and reduced visual acuity. This report describes an unusual case of Descemet’s membrane detachment 6 months after successful phacoemulsification, documented by anterior segment optic coherence tomography (OCT; RTVue, Optovue). PURPOSE: Evaluate the effect of micro puncture with radiofrequency as treatment of symptomatic patients with bullous keratopathy. METHODS: Prospective study in 10 pacients with syntomatic bullous keratopathy and low vision. Micro puncture with radiofrequency was made in areas of the anterior stromal that had an epithelial descompensation. We decribed a case of endothelitis that began with keratoneuritis in patient who wore soft contact lens and saline solution with poor hygiene. A 41 years old ,white female suffered from severe pain in her left eye, with microcystic corneal edema and radial keratoneuritis .Culture and corneal byopsia was made, and all tests were negative.The treatment including topical dexametasona 0.1% ophthalmic solution and oral acyclovir successfully controlled the corneal edema and the pain.
