OBJECTIVE: To relate the efficacy of Molteno third generation glaucoma implant in four glaucoma patients. METHODS: Four glaucoma patients were submitted to Molteno third generation glaucoma implant. We evaluated intraocular pressure (IOP), visual acuity (VA), biomicroscopy exam and complications until six months after surgery. RESULTS: During six months we evaluated four glaucoma patients submitted to Molteno third generation glaucoma implant. Two cases had total success, one case had relative success and one case we had to take out the implant after trauma in the eye with extrusion of the implant. Complications occurred in two cases in the period evaluated. DISCUSSION: evaluating IOP the results were good but we need a longer period and more surgeries to evaluate better the safety and the efficacy.
